These dishes are made in Yixing, the Chinese capital of quality ceramics for Bonsai.
The dishes serve to physically protect the places where the Bonsai is located, and not to be used for watering, as water in the bottom of the dish can cause root fungi.
There should never be any water, no matter how little, left in the dish after watering, and if you have a Bonsai with a dish outdoors, during rainy periods, remove or turn the dish upside down.
Given the artisanal nature of the pots, there may be small differences in pot dimensions or slight variations in color tone.
