Carrier and Costs
MAINLAND PORTUGAL
FREE SHIPPING for purchases of +50 € and -30Kg, average delivery time of 48 business hours after dispatch* - Except for products with high weight/volume.**
When orders reach a total weight of 100 kg, the commercial department will prepare a transport cost estimate, based on the most advantageous option.
For orders under 50€, the shipping cost will be calculated automatically when selecting the carrier, based on the final weight of the order.
If the customer is not present at the delivery location, the merchandise will be redirected to a service point or a CTT post office, with no further delivery attempts.
MADEIRA ISLAND AND AZORES
For shipments to Madeira Island and the Azores, transport costs are borne by the customer and are calculated automatically for orders up to 15 kg.
When orders reach a total weight of 15 kg, the transport cost will no longer be calculated automatically, and the only option available will be the carrier "BUDGET / ORÇAMENTO / PRESUPUESTO + 100kg", which must be selected. Payment should not be made without the commercial department sending a transport cost estimate based on the most advantageous option.
Shipping time may vary depending on the chosen method and area:
CTT EMS 19 Madeira Island - 3 to 5 days.
CTT EMS 48 Madeira Island - 6 to 9 days and may exceed the estimated time. We do not recommend sending live plants with this option.
CTT EMS 19 Azores - 5 to 8 days, may exceed the estimated time for some islands.
CTT EMS 48 Azores - 8 to 15 days, may exceed the estimated time for some islands. We do not recommend sending live plants with this option.

UNITED KINGDOM
Due to Brexit restrictions, we are unable to make shipments.
The average delivery time, after dispatch* depends on the country/carrier option, but should always be calculated as 48 business hours after payment is made.
Heavy weight/volume products**, such as some substrates, decorations, or accessories, will always have shipping costs. This cost is calculated automatically at the time of order based on the product's weight/volume and the selected carrier. This surcharge is mentioned on the product sheet and added to the order value in the "Shipping" field.
When orders reach 100 kg total weight (15 kg in Madeira Island and Azores), the shipping cost will no longer be calculated automatically, and the only option available will be the carrier "BUDGET / ORÇAMENTO / PRESUPUESTO + 100kg", which must be selected. Do not make payment without the commercial department sending a transport cost estimate based on the most advantageous option.
All products travel insured, if upon receipt of the merchandise you notice that the outer packaging is damaged, you must note this damage on the transport document, photograph the external packaging and any damages, and whenever possible, open and check the products in the presence of the post office or carrier representative.
You must report this occurrence to us, with the order number and name, by email (info@luso-bonsai.com) within 48 hours, Luso-Bonsai will make the refund/replacement directly with the customer, in case of loss a full refund of the merchandise will be made.
If you choose to request a refund of the purchase amount, it will be made within 5 business days after receipt of the returned merchandise. For this purpose, we need you to send us the IBAN and account holder's name.
Luso-Bonsai is not responsible for delays or damages caused by incorrect address information provided by the customer but will try with the carrier to solve the problem to ensure the customer receives the merchandise as soon as possible.
Consumer Responsibility
After purchasing plants from Luso-Bonsai, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure proper care for their maintenance and development. This includes, but is not limited to:
Watering: Bonsai plants have specific water needs that must be met. The customer should inform themselves about the frequency and amount of water required for the purchased plant.
Lighting: Each type of bonsai has different requirements regarding direct sunlight. The customer must ensure that the plant receives the appropriate amount of light, avoiding both excessive exposure and lack of direct sunlight.
Nutrition: The use of appropriate fertilizers is essential for healthy plant growth. The customer should be aware of their plant's nutritional needs and apply fertilizers according to instructions.
Environment: The temperature and humidity of the environment where the bonsai is kept are also critical factors. The customer must ensure that conditions are suitable for the acquired species.
Luso-Bonsai commits to providing information about the necessary care for each sold plant but is not responsible for damages or problems that may occur due to lack of proper care by the customer.
