These plates are made in Yixing, the Chinese capital of quality ceramics for Bonsai.
The plates serve to provide physical protection to the places where the Bonsai is located, and are not meant for watering; water left in the bottom of the plate can cause root fungi.
There should never be any water, no matter how little, left in the plate after watering, and if you have a Bonsai with a plate outdoors during rainy periods, remove or turn the plate upside down.
Due to the artisanal nature of the pots, there may be small differences in the size of the pot or slight variations in tone.
