technical sheets - Ryuga Tools
The “Ryuga” Tools are produced in China, with “OEM” quality for the Japanese market, by a top-quality garden tool factory. They are the first tools from this factory (a subsidiary of the YM group) to be marketed outside Japan. RYUGA tools follow Japanese standard production and quality control.
Quality Control Method
In the initial production process of Bonsai tools, the metal parts must be properly hand-cast before molding. The heating required for the shaping process of the cutting area is done exclusively in that area, not affecting the handles, to ensure the final strength of the tool.
Another important step is the oil cooling process to harden the blade part. Any flaws resulting from an incorrect casting process will seriously affect the blade quality, which may end up breaking. In fact, there is no technique that ensures a correct casting of the piece before the oil cooling process. So a good control method is crucial to confirm the final quality of the tool.
Ryuga tools comply with high-quality parameters defined by the producer to guarantee both the consistency of material quality and its functionality.
After cold oil treatment, each part of the tool undergoes a pressure test to ensure the quality of the blade as shown in the image below.
Only the parts that pass this test continue to the finishing process. Each piece is subjected to a second pressure test, ensuring the quality of the entire piece, especially the handles. The handles must not bend after strong pressure...
Done?...NO!
The final test must be the functional test...cutting dry wood to ensure that the cut is sharp and clean in the middle, and that the handles do not bend...
Any inferior quality will compromise the cutting result, break the tool, or cause the blades to open...
These rigorous quality control procedures are carried out on all different models of “Ryuga” tools before shipment, including the scissors.
We hope, in this way, to have helped you choose the best Bonsai tools.

Wiring/Shaping
(Note: "Wiring" is a proper noun, likely a name, so it remains the same. "Shaping" translates to "Model" or "Modeling" depending on context.)
