technical sheets - Ryuga Tools

The "Ryuga" Tools are manufactured in China, under "OEM" quality for the Japanese market, by a first-class garden tools factory. These are the first tools from this factory (a subsidiary of the YM group) to be marketed outside Japan. The RYUGA tools follow Japanese standard production and quality control.

Quality Control Method

In the initial production process of Bonsai tools, the metal parts must be properly hand-cast before molding. The heating required for the shaping process of the cutting area is applied exclusively to that area, not affecting the handles, to ensure the final strength of the tool.

Another important step is the oil cooling process to harden the blade part. Any defects resulting from an improper casting process will seriously affect the blade's quality, which may end up breaking. In fact, there is no technique that guarantees a correct casting of the piece before the oil cooling process. Therefore, a good control method is crucial to confirm the final quality of the tool.

The "Ryuga" tools comply with high-quality parameters defined by the producer, to simultaneously guarantee the consistency of the material quality as well as its functionality.

After cold oil treatment, each part of the tool undergoes a pressure test to ensure the blade's quality as shown in the image below.

Only the pieces that pass this test continue with the finishing process. Each piece is subjected to a second pressure test, ensuring the quality of the entire piece, especially the handles. The handles must not bend after strong pressure...

Done?...NO!

The final test must be the functional test... to cut dry wood to ensure the cut result is sharp and clean in the middle, and that the handles do not bend...

Any inferior quality will compromise the cutting result, break the tool or cause the blades to open...

These rigorous quality control procedures are carried out on all different models of “Ryuga” tools before shipment, including scissors.

We hope, in this way, to have helped you choose the best Bonsai tools.
