These dishes are made in Yixing, the Chinese capital of quality ceramics for Bonsai.
The dishes serve the purpose of physically protecting the areas where the Bonsai is located, and not for watering, as water at the bottom of the dish can cause root fungi.
There should never be any water, no matter how little, left in the dish after watering, and if you have a Bonsai with a dish outdoors, during rainy times, remove or turn the dish upside down.
Given the handcrafted nature of the pots, there may be slight differences in the pot's dimensions or slight variations in tone.
